What information do we collect?

Access to our digital archive is by registration, the only information we collect is your name and email address.
The only time we collect information about you is during the Registration process or if you email us, including sending feedback about the site.

Why do we collect it?

Our chief goal is to help us understand how the site is used and to provide the best possible experience for visitors, including responding to any requests for help with using the archive.

What do we do with it?

Data is stored securely and used only for the purpose stated. We do not pass your personal information onto any third party.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer when you visit certain web pages. The School Archivists’ Group (SAG) do not use Cookies in any way to gather any information.
Please note that cookies cannot harm your computer. We do not store personally identifiable information in cookies we create, but we do use encrypted information gathered from them to help improve your experience of the site.

Measuring Website Usage

Google Analytics can be used to collect information about how people use the site. Some sites do this to make sure it meets users’ needs and to understand how it could be improved.
Google Analytics stores information about what pages are visited, how long users are on the site, how users got there and what users click on.
We do not use Google Analytics and we do not allow Google to use or share our analytics data.

Flash Cookie (Local Shared Object)

Flash cookies are small pieces of information deposited and accessed by Adobe Flash the browser application that lets users play/display Flash media files.

Purpose: stores information between sessions of using embedded Flash content

Data stored by cookies: a unique ID, tracking information, some configuration information about the computer running the movie.

Duration of cookie: no expiration date

Where it is used: on web pages with embedded flash content

How to control and delete Cookies

We will not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you.
